Help us change the future of Chicago’s youth through the arts.
For over 25 years, Studio One Dance Theatre has used the arts as a vehicle to produce creative, well-rounded, and productive individuals. Our program emphasizes that when one utilizes what they’ve learned through learned through the arts, they can make positive contributions to the community and the world at-large. SODT also emphasizes the importance of education, and we believe in supporting the promising futures of our students. To date, Studio One has awarded over $125,000 in academic scholarships and $200,000 in dance scholarships. Every student who has received a scholarship has gone on to achieve an associate, bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree, and we are proud to have taught students who have succeeded in every field — from dance to medicine.
SODT proudly looks to the future with plans of:
- Moving into a larger building to better accommodate our growing school
- Growing and further developing our College Scholarship Program
- Offering tuition scholarships to those in need, including those in foster care, community service organizations and to families with hardships
- Promoting the creation of new and culturally significant shows
