FaChica Austin-Alderson is a Chicago native who is thrilled to be a part of the Studio One Dance Theatre family. She began her dance training at an early age with Muntu African Dance Theater. She has studied at various schools throughout the Chicago area, including the Joel Hall Dance Center, Hubbard Street Dance, Studio One Dance Theatre, Deeply Rooted Productions, and Sammy Dyer. FaChica credits most of her creative dance energy to Studio One Dance Theatre.
Reuben D. Echoles is a native of Chicago and has been seen on stages around Chicago and the U.S. including Black Ensemble, eta, and Congo Square. This is Rueben’s 12th season with Studio One and he is excited to be back with us once again. Rueben is currently Artistic director of Black Ensemble and teaches acting classes far and wide in the Chicago area.
Tracey Franklin hails from Chicago, IL, and began her training at the age of 16 at Joseph Holmes Dance Theater. Tracey then moved on to study at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. She has worked with noted choreographers such as Donald Byrd, Kevin Iega Jeff, Alonzo King and Donald McKayle. She was also a company member of Dallas Black Dance Theatre. Tracey is currently a Company member of Deeply Rooted Dance Theater and is extremely excited to be a part of your child’s dance experience and the Studio One family!
Dana Nolan began her training at a variety of Chicago summer dance programs, and continued her training at Studio One Dance Theatre, Whitney M. Young Magnet High School, and the summer intensive program at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center in New York. Dana attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale where she received a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations.
Nicole Clarke Springer As a graduate of Butler University‘s dance department, Springer has performed with the Indianapolis Ballet Theater, Deeply Rooted Dance Ensemble and The Clifton Brown Dance Company in Istanbul, Turkey.
